I mean, even the end credits say that "some of the audience visuals were borrowed from other TV show tapings." This leads to the bigger point, which is the overall feel of artificiality. I think the FOX producers were running low on content due to the whole COVID situation and just wanted to pump out some content to keep the network afloat without giving much thought to the overall quality. I felt that his energy wasn't at 100% today but still good! I can't wait to see him in the diss battles.Oh man.I'm a big fan of the Korean version and had high hopes for this one, but am disappointed. I always knew her as that girl in Dickids Crew but wow I had no idea this girl was so talented. Omg her voice!! I absolutely loved her part like I got chills. His part is like the essence of the song.I wonder how they're gonna release it in the studio version without him. I didn't even notice he messed up the lyrics lol. He is freaking amazing and shocks me every time he raps with so much power. I was looking forward to seeing him in the diss battle :( But I still love him and I hope he doesn't beat himself about it. I wish he rapped a little more laid back. I feel like he feels a lot of burden especially cause last time the same thing happened. I'm so glad she didn't rap about teriyaki this time lol. Wow Yunhway killed it! I really didn't like her up until now. Him singing isn’t particularly novel/unsurprising. There are also a significant amount of other people on this forum, maybe even more so that appreciate the nuances in styles he puts out. I think it just depends on the people and their tastes and it happens to be an amount of people. Everyone has a style that comes out in their work, it does seem unfair to just single people out because that’s an inherent part of artistry. Imo, being repetitive isn’t necessarily a bad thing all the time, if anything being able to portray a certain style shows character. I could be wrong but from what I saw, such a message (attacking person’s artistry) wasn’t something I got from the particular thread as I did see (style on the show). I do concede that not being knowledgeable of people makes criticism irrelevant (for lack of a better word/another word I’m thinking of’s on the tip of my tongue) but I interpreted the situation differently. I was looking at a couple of other comments above that when I drafted this original thesis of “not the person but the show”. I mean that’s one comment, I do see what you’re saying though. His contribution to the song was significant.
As much as I don't really like Dbo I felt bad for him there. It would have been harsh for any of them to be eliminated honestly. Mackdaddy's verse was the right choice to end the song with. Dbo was not bad for a change, though his pronunciation was all over the place. Punchnello's verse was the perfect intro into a great hook. Felt harsh to eliminate him though.įavourite song of the episode. I think they probably should have put his verse in the middle so that it leads into a hook rather than just ending the song. Bully's fast rapping is really impressive but he did not suit the song at all. Lil Tachi and Takuwa were okay but not my style. Didn't expect her to sing the whole verse though. I liked the hook with Bryn providing the higher harmony. Not surprised to see Kingchi Mane leave given the controversy, I get the feeling that perhaps the scandal had already been revealed at this point and they needed to remove him? I suppose they wouldn't have been able to release the song if he had passed which would have been unfair to the other rappers. Wasn't overly impressed with Woodie Gochild and Choi LB. Sadly we didn't get to hear his previous rounds, but I knew that he must have been good to keep getting through. I think it's a huge shame, too, because his verse was really good. It must have killed Mnet not to be able to remove Kingchi Mane completely. YunB got lucky with Olltii's mistake otherwise I think he would have been out. If you think you're going to forget them, then you will forget them. I don't get how someone who is probably the best freestyle rapper in Korea can forget lyrics so badly? Maybe he worried too much about it. She sounded great in a song and she finally used some Korean. We finally see why the judges kept letting Yunhway through to the next round.
